After a very wet and gloomy Xmas break, New Year's Day 2013 dawned bright and sunny - a good portent for the rest of the year? With a brief slot of free time, I made a quick dash to Ropley after lunch to see what was occurring. Later in the month, I had a few minutes at Crewe station after a work meeting, so took the opportunity to grab some shots. January light levels were low, so anything moving presented a challenge, but there were still some good views. A bitterly cold spell brought some decent snow (but no sun...), and I braved treacherous conditions to bag 70 001 on liners at Worting Junction. Into February, and a work trip to Manchester allowed for a few shots of trams on the Metrolink, including driver training on the new Droylsden line.
